Paula Webster RPT, CSCS graduated from the University of Hartford and received her CSCS through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).  She has worked in a variety of clinical orthopedic settings and has treated patients in many areas of orthopedic dysfunction.  Recently she has specialized in the area of pediatric sports training and spinal rehabilitation.  She has offered courses for the coaching community focusing on injury prevention and problems inherent in the adolescent athlete.  She conducts programs geared towards spinal health for adolescents and is one of the few therapists specializing in scoliosis in Connecticut.  Therapy for idiopathic scoliosis and kyphosis, back pain associated with postural dysfunction are treated with a functional approach and the program has had good success with not only stabilizing curves reducing the risk for progression but in some cases prevented surgery.  She is a member of the National Scoliosis Foundation, SOSORT, an international organization for adolescent spinal deformities and works with patients from Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital in addition to adult patients with scoliosis.
